Meet Juliana Soares Marengo

I started my career in Brazil, working in sales support and international trade, where I developed a solid understanding of logistics and import/export processes. After moving to New Zealand, I worked as a Customs Broker managing sea and air freight, which deepened my knowledge of global logistics. After joining Tegel, I now manage feed sales and coordinate bulk commodity imports, combining my background in logistics and supply chain with new skills in sales and customer engagement.

My role is fast-paced and varied. One day I might be tracking shipments and resolving logistics issues, the next I’m on the phone with customers discussing orders and helping them plan ahead. People often don’t realise how much juggling happens behind the scenes, it’s not just about selling feed, it’s managing vessels, ports, customs and stock in real time.

Moving into a sales role after a career in logistics was a big step outside my comfort zone, but with strong support from my leaders, I’ve grown in confidence and capability. Tegel has trusted me with real responsibility from day one and supported me to keep learning and evolving.
