Rojen's Story
I started at Tegel in 2012 as a process worker at the Henderson Further Processing plant. Now I’m a Team Leader and no two days are the same. My mornings begin with a quick team meeting, the only time I see everyone together before they head to different areas. From there I move into planning mode, taking over from the previous shift and preparing for the day ahead. Of course, unexpected issues like breakdowns or downtime are part of the job, and I work with different teams to keep things moving.
I’ve been lucky to step outside my comfort zone, taking on roles like SOP Coordinator and M3 Super User Trainer. These opportunities challenged me, but they helped me grow, especially in communication, people management, and counselling skills. Tegel has supported me through training programs and practical opportunities and I’m still learning every day.
What makes Tegel special? The people. Despite our diverse backgrounds, we’ve built a strong, respectful culture where everyone feels valued. I believe that whatever happens I have a strong bunch of people working alongside me and manager who supports me.
Working at Tegel you will be challenged, supported and valued. You’ll develop new skills while being part of something meaningful. And if you ever need a product recommendation, try the Nashville Tenders in a long roll with Peri Peri fries - comfort food at its best!
