The Nashville Hot with Candied Jalapenos

Tegel Take Outs Nashville Style Burger 600G
  •          4 x Tegel Take Outs Nashville Burgers
  •          4 x burger buns
  •          4 x burger cheese slices
  •          2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce

For the Candied Jalapeños:

  •          1 jar jalapeños
  •          1/3 cup sugar
  •          2 tablespoons runny honey
  •          1 clove garlic, crushed

For the Comeback Sauce:

  •          ½ cup mayonnaise
  •          2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  •          2 tbalespoons chilli sauce
  •          1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  •          1 clove garlic, crushed


  1. Strain the brine from the jalapeño jar into a medium saucepan, placing the jalapeños to the side. Add the sugar, honey and garlic powder to the pot with the brine. Bring to a steady simmer, stirring frequently until the liquid starts to become syrupy. Add the jalapeños to the pot and bring to the boil for 5 minutes. Transfer back to the original jalapeño jar. Let cool completely until sticky and jammy.
  2. Cook the Nashville Burgers in the oven or air fryer as per packet instructions.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, add all the ingredients for the Comeback Sauce to a bowl and mix to combine. Season with salt & pepper.
  4. Lightly toast the buns then assemble the burgers by spreading a generous spoonful of sauce over the bottom buns. Top with a slice of cheese and a handful of shredded lettuce. Place a Nashville Burger on top and pile on the candied jalapeños. Spread the top buns with more Comeback Sauce and sandwich on top. Dig in!
